Admissions Procedure

Admissions for new families will include the following steps:

Step 1

Learn about King’s Christian School Alaska through optional avenues:

  • Visiting webpage located at kcsa.school
  • Scheduling a visit with the school administrator (907-615-4949)
  • Attending an informational night as advertised on our webpage

Decide if KCSA is a great fit for your child and if so, continue to Step 2

Step 2

Complete a Registration Form (electronically or turned in to the school office):

  • Once the registration form is received, a meeting with the administration will be scheduled to discuss enrollment

If the school and parent decide that KCSA is a great fit for the child, an enrollment packet will be provided to the parent.

Step 3

Complete an enrollment packet and return to the church office with the supplies/books fee before June 1st. Students are not confirmed for attendance until the enrollment packet is turned in and supplies/books fee are paid. Getting this step completed early assures placement at KCSA.

  • Completed enrollment paperwork
  • Copy of your child’s birth certificate
  • Current physical examination (dated less than 12 months prior to September 1st of that school year)
  • An up-to-date immunization record that includes a current PPD test (within 90 days of the start of the school year)
  • If transferring from another school, a transcript from the previous school attended during the first month of attendance requested from the previous school. In addition, copies of the most recent report card and results of the most recent standardized assessment data must be included

Step 4

Notification of enrollment status will be sent to you via email from King’s Christian School Alaska with a school calendar. The tuition payment for August is due by August 1st. KCSA reserves the right, within its sole discretion, to refuse admission of an applicant or to discontinue enrollment of a student if the atmosphere or conduct within a particular home or the activities of the student are counter to or in opposition to the biblical lifestyle the school teaches.

In August and prior to the start of each school year, we will host an open house to introduce students and parents to our teachers, classrooms, and administration. This will be a fun time for introductions and beginning the school-home relationships, reviewing processes, and visiting the facility.

A waitlist will be established if a class is filled to capacity. Placement on this list is determined by the date the application (with registration fee) is received in the school office, with the exception that preference is given in the following order (a lottery will be held if needed):

  1. First, to children of currently enrolled King’s Christian School Alaska families
  2. Next, to new children from King’s formal church membership families
  3. Third, to families with active church membership in another Christian church
  4. Finally, to families without a Christian church membership

Parents will be notified when an opening for their child becomes available.
